HW#49

Unfortunately our video is unavailable right now so i'll be talking about Esther's video, but my contribution for our own video was just being another face in the class, and not pay attention to the teacher.
In Esther's video i think the message is that sometimes there is no saving things sometimes, and that even though sometimes the truth is thrown in our faces, but it just goes in one ear and out the other, we just ignore it. Like when the teacher is telling anybody where they'll probably end up and how they know nothing, and then right when he left everyone just went back to normal.
This film is quite different from all the other movies we've seem, in the movies the teacher actually got the students to pay attention to what he says, and if not all then most, and in Esther's film nobody really payed much attention to him, or did anything. And the teacher just left drunk in the end telling the students his opinion of them, i dont think we watch any movies with something like that happening at the end, though in the movies they do tell their opinion of their students to their face, as a part of trying to get them to cooperate with them out of shame maybe.

HW# 47

Ideas i have for our film projects are:

-the whole students rebelling teacher
-The students teach the teacher something
- shows the teacher with one or two students a few time outside of school, each time different students, as a sign of them getting close
-the teacher uses a different way of teaching the students, kinda rebelling against the school as well, maybe not in the beginning but in the middle of the beginning and later on as a sign that the students are changing him
- the teacher helps the student fight for whats right

HW # 48

Karl Adams a new high school teacher, just finished with his studies, with only 2 years of elementary education for experience, has applied to work at Williams high school and got the job. He is now the new science teacher and everything seems to be fine but hes having trouble with one class. The class doesn't really listen to him and doesn't seem to want to do the work. He tries to take control but each days passes by without any good results. The elementary students he tutors after school sometimes behave better than his high school students.

Then he gets a great idea, he brings the elementary students he tutors in the class and have them sit in the front while he teaches class, and he then points out in a very mocking tone that elementary student are better well behaved, and continues on praising the younger kids. The lesson end with his high school students feel embarrassed and offended. The next day the students will actually be more calmer, not completely but a lot more.

The teacher and students finally start becoming close, especially after he save a student from an abusive teacher. The teacher tries to make the teaching system not as corrupt, and and he might not succeed in doing so, but he might change the people that teach the students, with the students help of course. And the ending might be like a goodbye scene, either the students graduating or maybe the teacher just leaves because he feels he accomplished something, and that his work there is done.
